Billy Morokawa
charurei, here's the fanman who pwns all MatsuJun fangirls: Billy Morokawa, a 49-year old musician, writer, radio personality, sometime actor and producer, and...PTA head of his daughter's elementary school :D He's a rockabilly devotee (here's a clip of him performing back in '83), but somehow he has succumbed to the charms of Arashi, in particular MatsuJun. I hope Mr. Morokawa doesn't mind, but his con account is so awesome that I did his whole entry (pardon the rough trans):
I finally went to see Arashi's concert!
It was the best, so much better than I expected!
Seriously, it was amazing! I was blown away!
I was almost in tears with Hadashi no mirai and Sakura sake!
Just what is this Arashi that makes a soon-to-be-50 old man almost teary-eyed?
Up until just a while back, I never would have imagined that I would actually attend a concert by a Johnny's idol group.
But now, my passion for them is on the same level as my wife's and daughter's.
They were saying during the concert, "There sure are a lot of guys in the audience today". That's right, they are an idol group that even guys could totally appreciate.
Their individual characters are such that one feels a sense of closeness with them, which is an utterly pure thing. Simply put, all five of them are "nice guys".
That is what sets them apart from other Johnny's groups, and draws even guys such as me. Their interviews and comments attest to this.
They're not particularly macho. Yet, they are truly manly.
They
possess the "kindness and compassion for the weak" that all guys should
have, like it's nothing out of the ordinary. And they add sexiness to
that, which makes for a very powerful combination.
They also don't put on airs even though they are idols, and are like the nice brotherly guys next door, which is simply wonderful.
In arriving at this moment, they must have gone through their share of difficulties.
Had they not, there's no possible way they could charm their fans in this way, on this day.
As
I was pondering about all these, in the middle of the concert,
Matsumoto Jun-sama's beautiful face suddenly materialized up close on
the lens of my opera glasses!
I was beside myself.
My seat was the 80th on the 1st row, north block. Matsumoto-sama suddenly appeared there, riding the moving cart.
My wife exclaimed, "Papa, look~!", so I hurriedly put away my opera glasses, and Matsumoto-sama was right there, in the flesh. The distance between us was, believe it or not, 30 centimeters! 30 centimeters, can you believe it!
Ah, people really are helpless to do anything in an instant.
My heart was pounding away.
It was all I could do to clap my hands while gazing at his beautiful face, singing as he is carried away on the cart.
Should I have greeted him with a "Hello" or "How do you do" or some such? No, I'm glad I didn't (If I had, my wife and daughter would have been terribly aghast).
Matsumoto-sama had a somewhat bewildered expression on his face when suddenly confronted with an old man.
...........................I wonder, did he hate me just then?
Oh well, even if that can't be helped, I am still Matsumoto-sama's fan, and Arashi is the best.
Come to think of it, this is the first time I've gotten into a male artist ever since Elvis!
For me that's amazing.
So why am I drawn to Matsumoto-sama...........................?
To find the answer to that question, I've decided to go to their concert again! And watch their DVDs! And listen to their CDs!
Koon, your drawing
came true XD As for his burning question, he actually did attend
another concert, where he confirmed MatsuJun's similarities to his idol
Elvis:
First of all, the depth and radiance of his eyes.
Also, the too-dazzling aura that only true stars possess, and the unique brand of sexiness that floors even men.
And his sense of fashion --- the way he looks amazing in colors that mere, ordinary mortals could not even begin to wear.
Etc. etc. etc...MatsuJun fangirls, you have some serious competition XD
Comments

Looks like another fanman is Jun-baited!
It has been a while since I last hear from you.
Thanks for the translation
LMAO! Fanboys are way more interesting than us.
It's cute how he was worried that his "Matsumoto-sama" would hate him because suddenly, there's an old man there.
But he describes what we all have known-
Arashi might not "appeal" to the rebellious (yet) but their charm and kindness of being great guys-next-door is the type that you can introduce to anyone and something you can be proud of. Everyone can be taken in.
thank you thank you thank you!
I`m in pure bliss reading this ^^
