SWITCH May '07: Sho-kun really loves Arashi

Comments

Translation of the latest Switch!

Do you know where I can get the full translation?
Or did you translate this?

Anyways, thanks for posting Sho's short interview!
No prob...I translated it. I'd do the rest, but it's really long, and I'm not confident enough that I'll do a good one.
Based on Sho's Switch interview,
I think your translations are fine.

If you're still not confident,
then this translation can serve as your practice.

Thanks for helping.
No rushes though.
Since it's really long, I understand you need time.
I don't mind waiting.
Thanks, but don't hold your breath. The article is really long (about 10 pages of pure text). Maybe when I'm feeling ambitious I'll give it a try. :D
[this is good]
I bought that magazine too, really heart-felt photos and more heart-felt words. Sho's ones reminded of his speech during their first concert (I think was Suppin Arashi, I saw that on yt) in which he said he had doubt re joining JE but at that concert (their first big concert) he realized he chose the right path, and he was in tears when he said that; that's so moving T_T I also remember Nino saying in another program with Chara (when asked about his recent acting success) that if all of a sudden they don't want him to act in movies/drama and just be a part of Arashi, he's okay with dropping the acting part immediately too. Arashi's the most important for these boys.
Sho-kun said that? I've only seen the first couple of minutes of Suppin Arashi (the costumes scared me away lol; same reason why I still haven't bought the HIG DVD). Thanks for the heads-up. :D ::runs off to yt Suppin Arashi::
Oh you gotta see Suppin Arashi (just ignore some of their costumes, as they're all an improvement from their *very first* costume during their debut in Hawaii, the "transparent" ones, omg how could they do that to those boys xD so, *any* costume after that is bound to be an improvement lol)... anyway, that's actually the first concert I had watched from them and got me addicted to them ^^ (watch out for Nino's solo "Natsu", that's how he hijacked me in no time <3) I wish they'd release Suppin Arashi on DVD though.
HIG DVD's great! At leat get it for Nino-cam and their lovely song (composed by Nino) for MatsuJun's birthday =D
Btw, Sho's speech (plus the rest of their speeches) is right near the end of the Suppin concert =)

omg...i just cried..bawled reading that.

"But vocations such as this, where one can make an impact on other people's lives in one way or another, are really few and far between."

I choked reading this because to be able to that is one of my (almost) impossible dream that I had not yet achieve. They are blessed with the power & yet I don't envy them for achieving it. I'm happy to be the one amongst thousands/millions who was touched.

"I'm really happy that I got to experience the moment that made me realize this with the four of them."

...realizing it with the other four... TT_TT

can you please translate the Nino one. Did he talk about the shoot? the crying picture of him is gorgeous.

I've been reading your old entries.. how could I've missed you *virtual hug*

Hi aishoni, thanks for reading. *virtually hugs back* I'd love to do Nino's interview, but it's quite long and wordy. I'm afraid I might end up mangling it. I'll try, but I can't promise...
its ok. just a gist or will do but if you can't thats ok too. I'm just curious about the picture. ^^v
aishoni, he didn't talk about the shoot...here's the gist of his interview:

- He kept complaining about how serious the questions were and kept dodging them with jokes

- He read the script for Kiiroi Namida while he was in America for Iwo Jima

- Change he felt in the past eight years: numbers, e.g. number of years in the biz, their ages, popularity, etc. But he feels their insides haven't changed that much

- Stuff he does when he's alone: play games, read manga, play the guitar, etc.

- Music he's listening to a lot lately: RADWIMPS. He listened to them all the time in America

- He feels uncomfortable when he is praised as an actor: "I'm not an actor; I'm an idol." He feels more at home doing concerts, variety shows, etc.

- His picture of the ideal idol is someone who can do it all --- work, sleep, play, love, etc. He thinks Aiba-chan is amazing because he's an idol who gets to fight with tigers and box with kangaroos
Thanks for the summary of Nino's interview!

(Heh, I'm taking advantage of your good deed to aishoni)
