This brown waist bag that Ohno always carries with him is something
that has put in its years --- he bought it in Kyoto when he was there
for KYO TO KYO. "I've been using it for about five years now (laughs).
This bag is enough for anything other than stay-overs."
This jacket, which he wore during the premiere of Nino's movie Ao no honoo, seems to be quite warm. "I said it was cold, and before I knew it my mom had bought me this." Mother is full of love ♪
Inside his waist bag is this MD player. "I listen to it on the train...well it's more like I'm just letting it play rather than actually listening to it (laughs)." By the way, both CDs are *NSYNC CDs.
On the screen of his camera phone is a figure of E.T., which Ohno made himself using clay. "My sis all of a sudden asked me to make it, so I stayed home the entire day to make it. Surprisingly it was quite easy to do."
Saved on the same cellphone is this clay figure of the drawing of the black guy which made an appearance in Arashi's concert last summer. "This would be his first appearance on the pages of a magazine. I've put him in a glass case, and placed him on top of the TV."
Arashi ♥ Spring Q &A
Q1 What stuff do you want this spring?
A
digital camera and a computer. I've been taking pictures of my drawings
and clay works with a SLR camera, but all that film's gonna be tough.
With a digicam, you can check what you've taken right then and there. I
also want to properly organize the pictures I've taken on the computer
and like edit them and stuff. However, I'm not interested in the
internet, so I won't be doing that even if I bought a computer (laughs).
Q2 What fashion items are you looking out for this spring?
Pink and yellow stuff. I wore a pink and yellow costume during our winter concert, and the fans quite liked it. The members
didn't, though; they said it doesn't suit me (laughs). That's why, I'm
going to work hard for pink and yellow to look good on me (laughs).
Q3 What challenge do you want to take on this spring?
Definitely computer.
Q4 What do you think of when we say "spring"?
Hanami!
We've always had work during hanami season, so I've never been to one.
During hanami season last year we did PIKA☆NCHI. I want to go this
year~.
Q5 If you were to go out on a date this spring, what would you do?
A fishing date by the river. But I feel the conversation won't be lively, more like "Caught anything yet?" "Nope..." (laughs).

● Right now I'm rehearsing for TRUE WEST everyday, so there's seriously nothing to say about my personal life...Well if I have to, I go out and drink with Matsu-nii
after rehearsals, or drink at a local bar by myself (laughs). I was
told by Matsu-nii, "Your house is far from the city! I want to eat and
drink more with you, so come and move here!" But, I realize just how
tough it would be if I lived alone...Back when I lived alone in Kyoto
for KYO TO KYO,
the trash was overflowing, and cockroaches were everywhere (laughs). As
for meals, I pretty much lived on instant cup noodles...I don't want to
live like that again! (laughs) And if I live alone, it'd be lonely
everyday. Well I'd be lonely, but I think my mom would be lonely too
(laughs). That's why I'm sorry Matsu-nii! This is how I feel right now.
I might change my mind after a while, so please try and wait a bit
longer (laughs).
● But you know, I have a lot of dreams once the
play is over! First of all, I want to do some shopping! It's unusual
for me to say something like this, right? (laughs) I'm going to buy
looots of clothes and stuff to relieve stress! I want to buy some toys
too. Then, I'm going to ride a taxi home while carrying lots of
shopping bags with both hands. The "taxi" part is extravagant, isn't
it? (laughs) I also want to have a barbecue in the riverside near my
house. These are small dreams, but they're happiness, I tell you!
(laughs)
Nino Matsuri random article 8~ Btw regarding the latest discussion (Nino's vehement insistence that he's an idol and not an actor), Nino admits in his Switch interview that he has a complex about acting:
Could it be that you get embarrassed when people see you immersing yourself in acting?
Oh you picked up on something I wouldn’t like answering...yeah, I do. Sometimes I wonder why the view is so different between acting and other fields. I have a complex towards not being able to see things around me when I concentrate on acting. It’s not like howling “I can do better”. <--- Thank you, Rion!

(1) What time did you wake up this morning?
Around half past eight. A bit later than usual.
(2) Tell us what you ate today!
This evening, I ate roke-ben *. Today it's Chinese food. Then just now I ate two of your complimentary pudding.
* Bento that is served on set
(3) Tell us your activities for today!
Nama Arashi ---> drama * location shoot at Yokohama ---> duet interview ---> drama filming inside the studio. Scheduled to end at midnight.
* Stand UP!!
(4) Tell us something fun that happened to you lately.
Concerts! Concerts in itself are fun, but also, I had a lot of solo projects earlier this year *, so I'm happy to be able to spend many days with the five of us together *heart*
* Netsuretsuteki Chuuka Hanten, Ao no Honoo, etc.
(5) Tell us something sad that happened to you lately.
Even when we go to the regional areas for our concerts, we often return home on the same day.
(6) What have you been eating a lot of lately?
Roke-ben (laughs).
(7) What have you been doing a lot of lately?
I
guess acting, singing, and dancing? (laughs) Actually, I think most of
my time is spent moving from one location to another. Makes me feel
like I have to change my engine oil.
(8) What has been worrying you lately?
Stuff
like, "Is the drama interesting?" "Are they enjoying our concerts?"
Also, "Will I be able to make MatsuJun's birthday song?"
(9) What would you like to do now if you had the time?
Make MatsuJun's song (laughs).
(10) What do you do during breaks on location?
Talk with everyone.
(11) Please tell us what's good about your new song, Hadashi no Mirai!
Coca Cola-like freshness (grins) *
* Hadashi no Mirai was used as a Coca Cola CM song
(12) Please tell us what's good about your other new song, Kotoba Yori Taisetsu na Mono!
Same
with Hadashi, it makes you want to ask everyone, "Isn't it a good
song?" It's easy to sing, and could even make the theme song of some
popular anime.
(13) What are your thoughts on the Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center * leg of your summer tour?
Hokkaido
marked the first day, so it was really nerve-wracking. The response to
the part I was in charge of, Best 5 Corner...I was anxious about it
while listening to Ohno-kun's solo before that backstage.
* where they performed before this interview
(14) For this concert, what is your favorite costume?
Hm, I can't say just yet (chuckles).
(15) Tell us the highlights of your solo.
I
guess it's a "festival of me"? I mean the level of simplicity. Having
only two spotlights on is a key point. Guitar and piano practice was
tough *sniff*.
(16) If you were to come up with your own "subtitle" for this tour, what would it be?
"In good form"
(17) It's been four whole years since Arashi was formed. Tell us your honest thoughts on entering your fifth year.
It
makes me think, "People can do anything as long as they put their mind
to it." The five of us all have our solo activities...even that leader
(Ohno)! It's such good fortune. We'll keep doing our best!!
(18) What do you consider the most unforgettable and memorable moments of the past four years?
The handshake event during our debut, the video concert, Hawaii...stuff we did together with the fans.
(19) If you were to do something to commemorate your fifth anniversary, what would it be?
Divide
us into two teams --- one where dancing is the main attraction, the
other singing. Then start the tour from both north and south, get
together at the very center, and then do an even greater concert there.
(20) Looking at Arashi now objectively, if you were a girl, whose fan would you be? Why?
Ninomiya-kun. Because he's the type of guy who makes you want to say, "Hey, try harder!" (laughs)
It's here yay:
In pristine condition and only for 580 yen (thank you seller for
not realizing fans would be willing to pay ten times more). And they're re-releasing Ao no Honoo? Dare we hope for English subtitles? Anyway, here's Nino Matsuri random article 3:

Yesterday I went to see Abe-chan's (1) stage play (2).
We've known each other ever since we starred together in V no Arashi a
long time ago. I've never seen a period piece like that, so it was a
very new experience for me. Abe-chan's dying scene was very beautiful.
At that time however, the middle-aged lady sitting in front of me was
really noisy...She kept revealing the plot ahead, like "Look, Abe-san's
going to die any minute now" (laughs). She really killed me with all
the spoilers.
Actually, Abe-chan and I just grabbed a bite together the other day. I see Abe-chan like that quite often. To be more precise, we see each other during meal parties with people we've worked with on stage, dramas, etc., like Katsumi (3) and Mikki (4) and Tetta (5). It's one heck of a sight when these people get together. First of all, these are people who do stage, so everyone's voices are really loud (laughs). Really, they reverberate throughout the entire establishment. Not only that, everyone's so tough! Take Abe-chan for example, he joined and partied with us after doing two performances of his play. But Katsumi, he falls asleep on my lap after getting drunk and partying for about two hours (laughs).
If you think about it, I'm the youngest among us. Even with Mikki, I'm twelve years apart from him. But they all don't try to be nice because I'm younger, and I also don't think of them as older (laughs). They totally don't mind even if I call them without honorifics (laughs). Our relationship is on an equal footing, like friends, so it's so much fun~.

(2) Shin Chikamatsu Shinjuu Monogatari: Sore wa Koi (Suicide for Love 2nd ver.)
(3) Actor Takahashi Katsumi

Right now I'm doing a stage play (1). The playwright, Iwamatsu Ryo (2), came to see the play the other day, and I'm happy that he said it was good. This is because as someone on the acting side, Iwamatsu-san's reaction is the one I feared the most.
Yesterday, during a scene with KyonKyon (3), I couldn't say my lines. I was so surprised. Really, I was stumped. KyonKyon managed to follow through expertly, so all was good, but hey, I freaked. The truth is, even now I can't remember...I have to look at the script later.
After the performance ends at night, it's already half past eleven when I get home, so aside from the stage play, I don't get to do much of anything else. I can't even play games!
Theater, it's fun. Acting is fun.
(1) Shibuya Kara Tooku Hanarete, ends March 30
(2) Actor, director, and playwright; known as the "Chekhov of Japan"
(3) Actress Koizumi Kyoko
