To (my honored junior high teacher) Bami-chan:
We haven't seen each other since I graduated from junior high, but how are you, Bami-chan?
It would be great if someone who knows Bami-chan reads this letter, and this message gets to her.

To Katabami-sensei:
My homeroom teacher during my 2nd, 3rd year of junior high, Katabami-sensei --- we haven't seen each other since I graduated, but how are you?
I've been wanting to see you all this time, and I'm still looking for you. If by any chance a junior high student of hers is reading this, by all means let her know.

During our junior days, I worked a lot with Nino and Aiba-kun, and I often saw Sho-kun outside of work. It's only Ohno-kun that I haven't had much to do with. I only had the impression that you were good at dancing, especially ballad-type stuff. But I get this now that we've become Arashi --- Ohno-kun is an extremely funny person (laughs). I can also feel at ease when we're together; you're like a "big brother". There's just this one thing I want you to stop doing. When I'm like spacing out, Ohno-kun surprises me by suddenly being right behind me. Ohno-kun, please stop doing that. It's bad for my heart! (laughs)
about debut single
When I first heard the song, I thought, "The key sure is high," "And here I have weak stomach muscles" (laughs). I was just told by the producer, "Sing it as you like", but once I actually tried to sing it, I couldn't hold out my breath. On top of that, the song has lots of patterns and we recorded it many times, so while singing it I had no idea how it would eventually turn out. That's why I'm not too satisfied with my part, because I still sing off-key sometimes (laughs). But in the future, I want to be a good singer like Tsuyoshi-kun and Inohara-kun, and be able to sing a song like Melody of rain.
about themselves
Once our debut was decided, it has all been so frantic that I can't even remember what I was doing just a while ago (laughs). Because of that, the reality of our debut, the realization that I'm Arashi --- there's none of that. Even when I'm with the other members, it just feels like there are five juniors, and even if someone calls out "Arashi!" I can't turn around (laughs). Given the circumstances, I can only think of what I want to do personally, like "I want to do a musical", or "I want to move people with my dance"; I still have no room to think of the group as a whole. However, it would be unreasonable to paint the five of us with one color, so I think it would be great if each of us can make the most of our own color, and we blend those five colors together to make an Arashi color.

I didn't know Sho-kun and MatsuJun
actually hung out outside of work during their junior days.

To Aiba-chan
"How are you"...well we see each other almost everyday. I especially talk a lot with Aiba-chan. On the plane home from our concert in Fukuoka, I was thinking of listening to some music, but Aiba-chan said, "Sto~p that, let's talk", so I turned off my music and we talked about lots of different stuff. Part of me wanted to sleep because I felt tired from the concert, but I'm glad we were able to talk.
I like how easygoing Aiba-chan is. Even if you're next to me it's okay if we don't talk at all; I like Aiba-chan's aura! There’s no one among the members who has that vibe, so I think it's really good.
Recently you've
cut your hair and are looking so neat and tidy. The long one was wild
and okay too, but I think this one's better? Currently I record my
radio show (ARASHI DISCOVERY, FM Yokohama) at Yokohama, and I sometimes
eat Chinese food at Chinatown.
That's why, I'm going to find a place that is just as delicious as
Aiba-chan's family's restaurant and would suit Aiba-chan's taste, so
let's go there together sometime. Oh right, you're going to be 20 soon.
How about we celebrate that with a meal come December? Let's get one
thing straight, though, we'll be splitting the cost fifty-fifty! And
the old promise that we'll go fishing together has gotten cold, so
let's do that next time.
Hope it's not too late to join Ohno Satoshi month:

from Satoshi to Masaki
Since I spent a long time in Kyoto, it was rare for us to even see each other during our junior days. (Sho-kun who is next to him says, "You thought Aiba would be more gentle?") Yup, but basically he's composed, don't you think? Aiba is 17 this year, right? That about him is like me when I was 17 (laughs). He's also got a soft image, and I've never seen him angry. Oh right, I'm going to make Aiba angry and tell all about it in next month's issue! (laughs) Just kidding. Aiba-san, let's get along well with each other for the meantime (laughs). What, Aiba's blood type is AB? ...Aiba-san, do you have a split personality? (laughs)
