I've
never acted before. During school arts festivals, I was always the
lighting guy. It's a role nobody really wants, but it's actually deep
and interesting, because the feel of the stage completely changes
according to the lights. The actors I like are Ishida Issei-san and Sorimachi Takashi-san!
In the future, it would be great if like them, I could become an actor
with a strong personality, whose presence can be felt just by being on
screen. One thing I'm happy about lately is being able to go to New
York for a Wink up shoot! It was so much fun! We went to lots of
different places riding the location bus. It was all for the magazine
story, but it was fun and hardly felt like work. The one thing I
remember the most is...Nonaka-kun's * one-man conte
(laughs). He's like talking all the time. He makes lame jokes, but
slowly and strangely, we begin to find them funny (laughs). The details
of our New York trip will be in next month's issue, so look forward to
it!

The
other day I was asked by a girl, "Are you the junior Matsumoto
Jun-kun?" I was so happy! I mean, Matsumoto-kun's face is so cute,
isn't it?...The one I admire among the juniors is Sakurai-kun!
And wah MatsuJun so cute (this MatsuJun doesn't exist anymore lol):
We've
always gotten along well, but I'm happy that since the [junior] radio
show has started, and the stage play decided, we've become closer! Ah,
but that guy just had me in a stranglehold a while ago (laughs). (Ninomiya-kun faces here and flashes a peace sign)
Concerts are also fun! I mean, even though it's fun to just be dancing,
Aiba-kun and Ninomiya-kun next to me would always be making me laugh.
And during this year's spring concert, I was praised by the dance
teacher! For me who is always getting scolded by name, this is such big
news. Stage experience? I have...at our school arts festival, and a bit
part at that (laughs). I only had a few lines, but this time won't
definitely be at that level. I think that as long as I give it my all,
even though I look like this, I'm a pretty quick learner. Anyway, I'm a mass of willingness and motivation this time around, so it's definitely gonna be okay! But you know,
if I mess up during the actual show, don't strangle me, Ninomiya-kun!

The most important thing is family, because family won't let you down. My sis and I fought a lot when we were kids, but now we don't, and I don't fight with my parents either. My mom's a very openhearted person, and I'd be in a pinch if she's not around. I've got absolutely nothing to hide from her. As for my dad, he talks and laughs a lot when he drinks. He does talk even when he doesn't drink, but when he does, he talks too much (laughs). It would be awful if my family weren't around! My mom, it seems that she doesn't remember that much when she goes to see our concerts. She goes like, "My son is capable of this!?", and while she's getting all teary-eyed, the concert is over (laughs). Even when I ask her about it when I get home, she says she doesn't remember. She only vaguely remembers my solo too. It seems she remembers when watching the video of the concert later, going like "Oh they did that~" (laughs). If I were to express the Ohno family in a few words? Naturally, it's unlike any other in the world! Dang, isn't that cool!? (laughs)

To the fans
We haven't been seeing each other lately, haven't we. The chances to meet with you have really gotten fewer, and it's a bit sad. We do see each other during concerts, but I want to get together more with you. Also, I'm always trying my best to read your fan letters.
Recently I've just bought a computer, and I often visit the homepages the fans have made about me. I often come across this on such sites: "Ohno-kun said in a magazine that he just bought a computer and is looking at fansites, but I wonder if he really is doing so..." Of course I'm looking, to the point of writing something without realizing it and thinking of sending it to you. I don't get to see you often, but like this, I get to see your fansites, so I'm really glad I bought a computer. I'll continue to visit everyday. Please take care.

Why are you so hidden? Show yourself. Soon. Ah...you came out. Ah, how cute are you? Wah, why are your forelegs bigger that your hind legs? Why is your fur so short? Why is it that even if you came from the ground, there's no soil sticking to your body? And you immediately dive in as soon as we put you on top of soil. "I want to appear in this group's concert!"
It's not a group that exists at present, but I want to try and do something with Arashi's Ohno-kun with "dance" as its theme, even if just for a limited time. Oh-chan, he has originality, a sense that cannot be acquired just by learning...his dancing has depth to it. Somehow I get to feel the "artisan spirit" that I like so much (laughs). Nowadays we hardly encounter each other anymore, but during our junior days, we often rode the train home together, since we went home the same way. He'll surely be surprised to learn that I harbor such an ambition (laughs).

p.s. Check out this blog entry by Mori Kimiko, a fashion model. She went to the October 7 Dome con (her first Johnny's concert) with her friend! There's a pic of them holding fanclub tickets (maybe her friend's a member). After the concert they were like, "Omg MatsuJun peaced back at me!!!" Haha sounds like us. They also then bought Arashi's old albums and watched their con DVDs. Welcome to the club XD
